additional day or two due to the variety of requests we receive
in both of those autothing categories). If for any reason we need more time

Can I track my order and package online? |

When you place an order via our awesome Web site, you'll
immediately get an email that includes a copy of your receipt
and a link to check the status of your order. With this marvel of Internet
engineering, our system will let you know how many days until
your order will ship and other special notes that may be of
interest. Again, you can check all of this via the included link
that came with your emailed order receipt or you can feel
absolutely free to contact us.
Everything we ship has some form of Delivery Confirmation issued
to it, which means for an extra fee (that's the USPS for you,
lol), we buy a unique 20-digit number that identifies your
autothing's shipment progress and/or delivery status. Let us
note the fee is already included in the shipping cost of any
item. This tracking number is available within your Online
Status Page, which means you can both review your order and
track it directly from one informative page.

How do I know when my thing has
shipped? |

stand-point! Not only do you get an email confirming your
order when you place one, but you also get an email confirming
that your autothing has been shipped and is on it's way.

Is my credit card charged when I
order or when the item ships? |

Your credit card is never charged till your thing is on its way,
literally. When we do finally charge your credit card, it serves
a dual purpose: (1) The payment for your autothing is processed
according to all terms and conditions stated within this site
and (2) you receive a notification that your thing has shipped
and was charged to the credit card used when you placed the
order with us. |

Do I have to sign for my packages or
will the USPS leave it for me? |

The Postal Service will usually leave packages somewhere they
feel your autothing is secure (at least we hope so!) If
your package is an EXPRESS MAIL
request, you will have to sign
for it (or somebody at the address we shipped to can do this for
you). If before we ship your item you know
that due to your shipping address, you require a Signature Request,
email us so we can issue one to your item free of charge. |

Can I bill to one address and ship
to another, as a gift for example? |

How cool! Sending someone a set of Arctic Nokya headlights for
their vehicle or a really sweet Chrome key chain? Well, you can
bill to your credit card with one address and you then have the
option of entering a different SHIP-TO
address during the order process in the autothing.com Online
Store. This is also useful if you are at work
during the day and would like your autothing to go there also
(so you can show it off to all your coworkers, of course!) Let
us mention that if your autothing is indeed a gift for someone,
select the gift option during the purchase process so that the
order total will not be printed on the gift recipient's packing
list. |

method), when will I get my autothing? |
|
Ok, it goes like this: When we get your order, we will ship it
within 1-3 days, but never on the same day (unless you choose Express mail, in
which case it is possible your item ships same day). It also
depends on what you order, as some things, like decals, need to
be cut for your specific request, while headlight bulbs are
obviously ready.
Next comes shipping times. Usually, you will
receive your item within 1-5 days, since lucky you, we are in
the Midwest (Chicago suburbs) and can serve the entire country
quickly and efficiently. If it's taking longer than you thought
to get your thing, visit your Online Account Page to view the detailed status
of your order.

ship big things in boxes, usually with foam filler-pellets

Since we're shipping via the United States Postal Service, you
can totally accept our autothings in your PO Box. Even something
really big, as your local USPS office will just hold it on the side
for you where it serves them quite well as a lunch table. But
really -- we have a PO Box too, so we know these interesting
(are they really?) facts about the United States Postal System. |

When paying by check, how do I
calculate shipping costs? |

Trick question: YOU DON'T!
Because you don't use our Online Store to purchase your
autothing, we both save some money! You see, every purchase you make
by credit card in ANY store, physical or online, has a total
purchase balance that your credit card takes upon itself as a
sort of "loan," giving this "loan" to autothing.com
in this case. Because we
get this "loan" just days after finalizing your order (that's
the email you normally receive when we ship your order), the
credit card issuer charges us a negligible fee in exchange for
money you personally have not yet paid to them. Because you save
us this fee, we're thanking you by saving you money too. Isn't
it nice to finally hear some honesty from an
online site about how and why things happen!

If I need to exchange or return an
item, how are shipping charges handled? |

Well there are two questions within one here, which makes this
feel like a test in college (you know, the professor says "Only
5 questions on the quiz" and there are like 3 within each one).
For Exchanges :: If for any
reason you conduct an exchange with autothing.com, it's
probably, and we bluntly admit it, because we screwed up
something in regards to your order. Whether we shipped you a
Garden Weasel or Ron Popeil's Showtime Rotisserie ("Set it
and forget it!") instead of the correct autothing, it's
our fault and there's no way we're inconveniencing you for that.
We'll send you the correction usually via Priority mail and
we'll include return packaging for the mistaken or incorrect
item, everything free of charge in the process. If the exchange
is due to any other reason, the
Return Policy goes into effect.
For Returns :: If you will be
returning something you purchased for any reason, we are totally
at your service for help and anything else during the process.
First, we recommend reading our
Return Policy,
as you will need an RA # (Return Authorization
Number) to return any product whatsoever. If you are returning
because of a mistake on our part, we will send you all the
return materials to send the autothing back. Cool, huh! But (you knew one was coming), if
you are returning because of any number of other issues,
you must pay ALL charges to ship the item(s) to autothing.com.
You should purchase Insurance
AND any form of Delivery
Confirmation because it is your liability as the shipper and not ours
(for obvious reasons) if the return never gets to us OR does and
is damaged (feel free to check out what scenario
your return falls under by checking out our
Return and Exchange Policies). |

Nope! Feel free to order anything you want in the autothing.com
Online Store. But because you two are so separated from the US
physically, we recommend you order something before global
warming takes its' toll. After all, Alaska will have melted and
Hawaii will be underwater. Hold on a sec' there... looks like
this climate survey was referring to a different Alaska and
Hawaii. Ok, so we're pretty lame (but at least the autothings
are cool and that's what counts!) (We're also pretty far down

If you do not live in a U.S. state, there's still hope to make
your vehicle look better then anyone else's on your
street, avenida, rue, strada, cadde, or whatever!
YOU MUST SELECT THE "USPS International Priority (Non-USA)" SHIPPING OPTION AS YOU COMPLETE AN ORDER.
This option includes our U.S. Customs paperwork and
International Priority shipping (3-5 days to Canada or 4-5+ days to
South America, Europe, Asia, and
Oceania). Shipping costs typically range from about $19.50 USD
for Canada to about $30.00 USD for Australia. This is
still way more affordable than the minimum charge of about
$45.00 for UPS International.
Well ok then, we hope to send an
autothing to every country on the planet one day, because this
